Father Son Camping And Real Soccer Game!

Friday night Casey took the boys to a Father Son Camp out with our stake. It was somewhere in Lehi, they left the house about 6pm. They sat around the campfire singing songs, telling stories, eating hot dogs, and making smores. The next morning they were up Bright and early and had breakfast. There was a zip line for the kids to go down on, that of course my kids were too scared to do. Maybe next year! :) When they got home the boys jumped on the tramp with the sprinkler under it (Memories from when I was a kid!) And played outside while I planted flowers. The day was still not over! We all got ready, and we went to Arctic Circle for dinner, and then off the a Real Soccer game! The game started at 7, and we got there about 45 minutes early. It was packed! they said that it was the best crowd so far this year. We were playing Kansas City, and we lost! It was 2-0. We made a goal, but they didn't count it. Kansas City is a mean team!! They kicked about four of our guys, but they all got up and played on! :) They had one player that got hurt, and he actually went off of the field with the EMT. I don't know what happened, if he got kicked or what. Skyler was so funny! He was too tired, and had a long full day! He fell asleep 15 minutes into the game, and stayed asleep the whole time! That boy has always been able to sleep ANYWHERE at ANYTIME! It is so funny! Shopping Carts, Restaurants, Games, etc. Poor Casey had to carry him all the way to the car, cause he was not waking up! We got home about 9:30, and we were all beat! Gage was in bed right away, and Casey and I were in bed by 11pm. It was a fun day!

Soccer and Karate!

So, Gage started a NEW Karate class in April, and Skyler decided he wanted to play Soccer. Gage was having a hard time getting used to his new class since this instructor actually shows them how to do things. His old class was at the South Jordan Recreation Center, and it was just too big. They mixed the new kids with the ones that knew what to do. I think it was too confusing, and he just didn't really learn anything. This new one is in Riverton, and his new instructor is awesome! He is learning how to do things, and doing really good. I have pictures somewhere, and will add them soon. Skyler does great at Soccer practice, but in the games he gets distracted too easy! He does like playing it, he just needs to pay attention to what is going on. He is too busy looking at people, and running after the ball. The ball will be right in front of him, and he stands there! It ius cute though!

The Fire Station

On April 16th, Skyler's Pre-School class went to the South Jordan Fire Station. They showed a cute little video about what to do when there is a fire in your house. Then they walked the kids all around the station showing them where they lived while they are there. Then they took them out to see the fire engine. They showed us the "Jaws of life," and the other equipment they use. Just like when we went there for Gage'sPre school class, they got called to an emergency and had to leave early. We still got to see a lot and had fun!
